I was born in Finsbury Park, North London.
I studied for a degree in history with art history.
I worked for the University of London for 22 years.
I am self taught in drawing and painting. I like to incorporate layers of meaning not always apparent to the viewer. The natural world is the key influence on my work - changing light, the texture of wood, the structure of trees, big skies and the elemental. I like to paint figuratively but also like the freedom to make more abstract work, creating interesting juxtapositions of colour and texture using Acrylics.
I have examples of my work in Green Pebble publications: How Artists see East Anglian Places and How Artists See People.
I currently live near Great Bardfield, Essex.
